Spinach is packed full of vitamins which makes it a super-food. Spinach is high in nutrients and low in calories. At Moby Dick, we take our Spinach seriously. The main ingredient in our Veggie Plate and popular Spinach Salad we are careful to source and select only the freshest leaves which are stored in a dry and cool area in our coolers so that it is crisp and full of nutrients when we make each dish.

Feta Cheese

Do you know what the Moby Dick’s House Salad, Spinach Salad, and Mediterranean Salad all have in common? They each come with feta cheese. Feta cheese is a brined creamy white cheese. Feta is very nutritious and is also an excellent source of calcium.

Moby Dick Gears Up for Phase 2 Reopening

As America prepares for its Phase 2 of reopening, Moby Dick is also preparing for our Phase 2. We are keeping some old practices in place and implementing new ones to ensure our staff and customers are safe in our locations.

We are diligently listening to the CDC guidelines and implementing those practices. Employee’s temperature will be checked and logged at the beginning and end of each shift. Additionally, we have contactless checkouts still in place to minimize contact between us and you.

Kashk Bademjan

Always made fresh, the Kashk Bademjan at Moby Dick House of Kabob is a combination of sautéed eggplant, whipped garlic, traditional Persian herbs, a hint of salt and pepper, and garnished with caramelized onion and creamy yogurt.

Moby Dick is proud to announce that we were part of the Dinners Without Borders initiative. Our combined efforts resulted in $1,400 dollars being raised in a week, allowing for their third delivery to families in need.

In celebration of our 30th anniversary, Moby Dick House of Kabob was featured on Fox 5’s “Cooking with Como” segment, filmed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. We share a little bit of the company’s history and how we plan to honor Mike Daryoush’s legacy as the founder of Moby Dick and a pioneer of Persian cuisine in the DC metropolitan area. This year we will be featuring specials like our Lunch Sampler. We were delighted to have the opportunity to share our delicious food with the Fox 5 team!
