Moby’s Honored at Restaurant Association of Maryland Awards

It’s been a season of ups and downs for Moby Dick House of Kabob. One of the highlights was certainly being recognized at the 65th Annual Stars of the Restaurant Industry Awards. Hosted by the Restaurant Association of Maryland, this event provides an annual opportunity for Marylanders to acknowledge some of their favorite local restaurants.

This year, over 30,000 Maryland voters chose Moby Dick House of Kabob as the best fast-casual restaurant in the state.

Fast-casual was one of two new categories this year. It was described by RAM as “A favorite place that you love to stop to get a quick bite…” in a quick service or sit-down setting. We were honored to be the first recipients to receive this award!

The gala celebration and awards presentation on May 5th also recognized Steve Wecker as Restaurateur of the Year, and Ashish Alfred of Duck Duck Goose as Chef of the Year. There was also another new award category — Favorite International Cuisine, which went to Honey Pig Korean BBQ. We send our congratulations to them and all the other winners from this year’s awards!

To be recognized by the people of the communities we serve is a reminder of why we do what we do. Our job is not the easiest nor the fastest, but we know that there’s no substitute for great ingredients, long marinades, or slow cooking.

We’re honored to be your favorite fast-casual restaurant in Maryland and will continue to work hard to bring you the traditional Persian cuisine that you love!
